Soothing Aromatherapy Bath Salt Recipe

Relax and Unwind with Aromatherapy Bath Salts!

A bath is my ultimate form of relaxation and self-care. There is nothing better than a decadent bath filled with beautiful aromatics to help soothe tight muscles and reduce stress. I aim to have a bath at least once a week, it’s my haven where I can be in complete solitude with myself removed from all external distractions. Below is my go-to bath salt recipe!

Benefits of Salt Baths

Salt baths are more than just a relaxing time, they offer a host of health benefits too!

Strengthens your immunity by absorbing minerals that boost your resistance to illness.

Relaxes tight muscles and reduces muscle spasms, especially when using magnesium-rich salt.

Decreases congestion by eliminating extra mucus. Adding eucalyptus essential oil works synergistically to soothe and decongest the respiratory system.

Promotes Detoxification by adding baking, a naturally alkaline substance we are able to help remove toxins from the body.

My Decadent Bath Salt Recipe

This is my favourite bath salt recipe. It is pure decadence and my go-to. I often make up a big jar and use it for relaxation emergencies. 15 drops of lavender essential oil
10 drops of frankincense essential oil
4 drops rose essential oil
¾ cup Epsom salt
¾ cup Dead Sea mineral salt
½ cup of baking soda (aluminium free)

Blend salts and baking soda evenly in a glass bowl. Add essential oils when the mix is evenly combined. Add ½ cup to 1 cup per bath- this recipe will yield two cups, store the remaining mixture in a glass jar with a tight lid.

*If you are pregnant, I would suggest a less concentrated blend. During my pregnancy, I simply added the below bath salt recipe directly to my bath:
